Awards

Through their dedicated work at Leonard Hospital Dr Sr Perpetua and the late Sr Catherine in 1999 received an award The Best Citizen of India.
Dr Sr Lucian Ettyakattu, longtime Medical Superintendent of Leonard Hospital, received the Certificate of Excellence in Rural Service  and the Great Achiever of India Award for the 20th Century awarded by the Front for National Progress. This was for meritorious accomplishment in diverse fields of activities that immensely contribuite to the Nation's progress.
Dr Sr Jacqueline, Leonard Hospital's Medical Superintendent, in 2011 received the Outstanding Individual Achievement and Distinguished Service to the Nation Award from The Citizens Integration Peace Society, New Delhi.
In 2010 Dr Sr Jacqueline also received the Best Service Award from Thiruvalluvar Mandram, Batlagundu.
In 2016 Best Doctor was awarded to Leonard Hospital Medical Superintendent Dr Sr Jacqueline from the Indian Medical Association, Madurai Branch.

Recognition

Under the administration of Dr Sr Perpetua, in 1995 Leonard Hospital was included in the Baby Friendly Hospitals Register by the National Task Force. During her service at Leonard Hospital Dr Sr Perpetua was the recipient of the Certificate of Excellence in Rural Service  by St John's Medical College Bangalore.
In 2008 Leonard Hospital received a Certificate of Appreciation from the World Health Organization (WHO) for its Center for Polio Eradication.
The Hospital has also been recognised for its revised National Tuberculosis Control Programme (RNTCP) up to Dot center in the year 2013.
